Choir Announcements & Upcoming Events (9/7/2025)

Hello Parents/Students,

Time is flying by and I wanted to send out a couple of reminders about upcoming events, as well as let you know of a few changes that have occurred on our calendar.

- Our Choir Retreat is Happening THIS Saturday, September 13th from 11:30 to 5pm. We will have a taco bar from 11:30-1 provided by our amazing AHS Choir Boosters! Then from 1-5 we will have a bunch of fun activities (including games, karaoke, trivia, and more!) This retreat is a wonderful time for students to get to know all the seniors, juniors, sophomores and Freshmen of our AHS Choir! This event is going to be so much fun! If you can make it, we'd love to see ya! 

- If you are planning on auditioning for All-State please fill out this form HERE so that I can register students for the October 4th audition happening at Bowie HS. Details for All-State are located HERE

-Austin ISD Fine Arts is hosting two optional sectional rehearsal clinics for those competing for All-State, but they have been pushed back a week. The Tenor-Bass clinic will be Monday, September 15th at McCallum HS and The Treble clinic will be Thursday, September 18th at Austin HS. Both events are from 7-9. This event is for anyone who wants extra help with their All-State music. It is not required, but encouraged for those who are participating.
