Crystle Taylor is the Director of Choirs at Anderson High School and is entering her ninth year as a music educator. Originally from Honolulu, Hawaii, she moved to Austin at age 10 and discovered her passion for choral music as a student at Covington Middle School before continuing her choir journey through graduation from Crockett High School.

Crystle earned a Bachelor of Science in Music Education from Concord University in West Virginia in 2016 and returned to Texas to begin her teaching career. Prior to joining Anderson, she spent eight years at Murchison Middle School, where her varsity and non-varsity choirs consistently earned Sweepstakes ratings and superior performances at UIL. Under her direction, the Murchison Varsity Mixed Choir earned first-place honors at the Music in the Parks Festival in San Antonio in both 2022 and 2024.

A proud product of AISD Fine Arts, Crystle is passionate about creating a fun, challenging, and supportive environment where students can grow as musicians and individuals. She is especially excited to be leading the Anderson Choir program and reconnecting with many former students as they continue their musical journeys. Outside the classroom, she enjoys traveling, DIY projects, spending time with family and friends, and performing with local musicians throughout Austin. Crystle is committed to providing meaningful and diverse vocal opportunities that inspire the next generation of singers.
